The initiative provided “Book Nooks” and educational resources to no-fee centres; equipped educators with accredited training to transfer knowledge through play, and included facility repairs and nutritional support to ensure child-friendly learning environments. 850 children in Grade R (5-6 year olds)were reached by the project. The project is designed as a “Legacy Programme,” intended to leave behind lasting skills and resources that will benefit future generations of students long after the initial funding cycle ends. SYDF emphasises that children cannot learn without proper nutrition and integrates humanitarian aid into its educational mission.
