Since 2022, the Government of the Principality of Monaco, the NGO ILLIS, the Swiss Confederation, the French Embassy in South Africa, in partnership with the Alliance Française of Johannesburg, has been implementing an annual call for projects aimed at supporting small-scale civil society organizations (CSOs) operating in South African townships, particularly in Soweto.
The program funds local initiatives in the fields of education, health, vocational training, culture, entrepreneurship, food security, and sports.
